Clearwire WiMAX sweeping the nation,

Go figure, all those rumors are coming true. Just 12 hours after a talk between Sprint and Clearwire about making a deal, the bottom line was drawn and the merger between Sprint and Clearwire was under way. Clearwire is a wireless internet and phone service that is slowly but surely appearing across America, and recently rumors of the mergers started appearing on the new and blogging sites. Soon more talk of Clearwire, Time Warner, and Google possibly merging started to arise. We weren't exactly sure until January 2008 when the press released that 22% of the total Clearire stock is owned by the companies listed above, and an additional 27% is owned by Clearwire customers alone. The remainder and majority of the stock is held by Sprint (around 51%), but the name of the new WiMAX idea will remain Clearwire WiMAX. Clearwire currently has roughly 400,000 subscribers, and due to the talk of mergers and expansion, it is said to increase to 140,000,000 subscribers by the end of 2010. Here comes Clearire and Clearwire WiMAX.

There are a few retailers in the Daytona Beach area, one being the cubeIT / Clearwire store at:
